BCBA Mentorship

Let me help you move beyond ‘imposter syndrome.’ I want you to become confident, compassionate, and effective as a BCBA. BCBA mentorship is offered online and available to individual BCBAs or groups of BCBAs at an organization. It does not matter if you are new to the field or seasoned, we all need mentorship and support at times. Mentorship can be short term or a longer term commitment. All mentorship experiences are individualized. We can work together on:

  • Professional skills training (communication, feedback delivery, collaboration)

  • Clinical judgement decision making and monitoring

  • Consulting supervision for BCBAs with less than 1 year experience

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on written work (treatment plans, behavior support plans, programs)

  • Ethical violation support and growth

  • $90/hour

Please email me if rates may become a barrier to receiving the support you need

BCBA Mentorship FAQs

Everyone seeks out BCBA mentorship for different reasons. Please check out some common FAQs if you are trying to figure out if mentorship is right for you:

  • Why would a BCBA seek out mentorship? Some BCBAs work individually and need someone to connect with to talk through clinical or supervisory problems. A mentor can be a great sounding board to discus these problems with.

  • I am a new BCBA and I feel like my fieldwork experience didn’t prepare me thoroughly. Could a BCBA mentor be helpful? Absolutely. If you found your fieldwork experience was not quite enough to help you start your career, a mentor can help you with clinical/supervisory problems, support with research, guidance on how to tackle conversations with families or clients, or offer training opportunities to expand your skills.

  • My job requires me to supervise trainees, but I have not been a BCBA for a year. Do you provide consulting supervision? Yes, consulting supervision is a component of BCBA mentorship. I typically use workbooks available in our field to support new BCBA supervisors.

  • I have an ethical violation and need additional supervision for a period of time. Can you help? Yes, as BCBA-D with about 15 years experience in the field, I can support most BCBAs with ethical violations. We can talk further about the issue and I would be interested to help support you to learn and grow.
